Shipping

1. What kind of boxes do you use?
We use only brand new insulted boxes. We will include any heat / cool packs needed, as well as internal packaging to ensure your animal arrives safely.

2. What days do you ship?
We ship Monday through Wednesday only. This ensures your animal will arrive Tuesday through Thursday. We do not ship after Thursday, because if there is a problem during shipping, we do not want any animal sitting in a warehouse over the weekend.

3. How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs $45, and includes UPS Next Day Air, a NEW insulted box, and any heat/cool packs needed for the animal to make the trip safely.

4. Why is shipping so expensive?
Shipping is expensive for a number of reasons. First, the direct cost of UPS is expensive. You check this out for yourself with UPS's time and cost calculator. Then figure in the cost of insulated boxes and heat/cool packs, and it does get pretty expensive. I assure you that we make absolutely NO money on shipping. In fact, we usually loose a few dollars on shipping.

5. Why have I seen some people ship for less than $30?
They likely ship through the United States Postal Service (USPS). While USPS is cheaper, they are not known for reliability. There are many stories of animals showing up dead after a 4 or 5 day trip, even when paying for overnight. Milwaukee Reptiles ships only though UPS because in our experience, UPS has always been on time, and safe, healthy animals is more important than a few dollars..

6. Do you guarantee live arrival?
We guarantee live delivery given a couple of conditions. First, the temperature along the delivery path must be between 40 and 90 degrees fahrenheit. Also, someone must sign for the package on the first delivery attempt.

7. What if there's a problem with shipping?
Give us a call or write us an e-mail! If there is a problem with shipping (has yet to happen), we ask that you contact immediately. We reserve the right to request the animal be shipped back to us (at our cost), or that digital pictures be sent to us to verify the problem. We want to ensure our customers are happy and will provide personal attention if there is a problem.

8. Can I pick up an animal to save on shipping?
Of course. Just let us know at the time of payment and we'll arrange a time. Since we're not a retail operation, we do not accept walk-ins without prior approval (mainly because we may not be home!).

9. Can I meet you at a show to exchange animals?
If we're selling at a show, you can pick up an animal you paid for in advance. If we're going to the show as a patron, it depends on the show's policies. If the show allows animals to be brought in by patrons, we'll be happy to meet you there.

Payment

1. What Payment options do you accept?
We accept PayPal, Postal Money Order, and personal check. We will also accept cash only for animals that are picked up locally. Shipping will be held until payment clears the bank. PayPal payment can be sent directly to "Brian@BrianSkibinski.com".

2. Will you hold an animal?
We will hold any animal purchase for up to 7 days for a 25% non-refundable deposit that will be credited towards your total upon final checkout.

Animals

1. Are your animals Captive Bred or Wild Caught?
All of our animals are Captive bred.

2. Did you produce all the animals you have for sale?
We produced most of our animals ourselves, however we do occasionally have animals for sale that we purchased from other breeders. These animals will still be covered under all of our policies and guarantees.

Selling / Trading Animals to Milwaukee Reptiles

1. I am a breeder, would you be interested in buying from me?
We will consider purchasing animals under a few conditions. First, you must be a reputable breeder. If there have not been any posts about you on the Board Of Inquiry, we may ask for references. Also, we REQUIRE pictures of the actual animal(s) we'd be purchasing, as well as prices.

2. What species are you interested in?
We are interested in a variety of gecko species, as well as other small lizards. See our wanted page for the list of species we're actively seeking. We may also accept animals not on that list.

3. Do you accept animals for trades?
We will consider trades, but only under the conditions that we give for buying animals. Also, we will not ship first unless you have a multiple good reputations on the BOI.
